The zombie went that way, dudes!

Just in case you'd forgotten, about a little announcement that Valve made yesterday regarding a free trial for Left 4 Dead, which is on now - they've added something to sweeten the deal. A temporary discount on all copies of Left 4 Dead purchased through Steam.

While the trial only runs for around the next twenty four hours, the sale of Left 4 Dead is to last all weekend. The discount is fairly hefty, at 40% off, which is sure to boost sales of the game when one considers the free trial currently going on in the darkened corners of the Internet.

The 40% discount means that Left 4 Dead is available for US$23.99 through the Steam store. More details can be found on the game's Steam page, which also carries a link to download the game for trial.

Left 4 Dead pits zombies, and survivors against one another, and allows four players to fight for survival, or, should they choose to do so, dedicate themselves to the zombie horde in order to cleanse the blight of humanity from the planet. Either way, it is apparently a lot of fun. (And, it is also probably making Valve even richer than they were before - whatever do they do with all those shiny gemstones?)
