Sorry World of Warcraft players, all 11.5 million of you must know your social life is officially over. There's no more time for trade chat shenanigans. You can also forget about bickering in Barrens chat for a hearty guffaw. And you won't be paying attention to your guild's tawdry Ventrilo conversations anymore. In fact you may even be late to your Ulduar raid or better yet, cause a wipe and be guild-kicked thanks to PopCap Games and their newly crafted Peggle add-on.

This concocted elixir of one addictive game inside another is bound to cause atrophy on a whole other level. Why, PopCap? Why!? The real sick and twisted thing is this isn't your ordinary Peggle, the designer Michael Fromwiller intertwined some elements from WoW like talent points to enhance the gameplay. It's freakin' insanity.


The add-on is free just like the Bejeweled edition, and there's no fancy hacking involved to install it. Drop it inside your interface folder with the rest of the add-ons, and you're golden. Once in game every time you want a fix type /peggle but we remember, you've been warned. Hah! Seriously, it should come with some kind of in-game caution.

The Peggle faithful will be quite please with the transition. After spending an unhealthy of time playing I'm happy to report back my impressions. I am flabbergasted at the sophistication and the retained-addictiveness in this iteration. The developers definitely hit the mark and managed to recreate the visuals and sounds from the original game. It isn't an exact clone as some missing elements exist, such as only Bjorn the Unicorn and Splork the Alien made the casting-cut. No big deal... Those few setbacks don't mean jack since the gameplay and overall it's still awesome.


The levels include twelve different flavorful World of Warcraft backdrops. After each stage is completed players earn talent points that act as a modifier to style shots and other game-altering abilities. The really amazing part is the MMOG aspects in the add-on itself. Duke it out with your friends with the Peggle duel, and if you need to settle a loot dispute it gets even better with the /peggle loot command! If you are the master looter in a raid or group type that command and everyone with the add-on will receive a one-shot challenge! Winner takes all. Goodbye DKP loot-reward system. It was nice knowing you.
