Battlefield 2 finally upgraded to 1.50 Beta
It's been a (very) long time between drinks for Battlefield 2. Last December, we were promised an update for Christmas - a gift that seemed too good to be true... and indeed it was. Here we are now, five months later, and we've finally been given our present: the huge 1.50 Beta Patch, for your downloading pleasure.

While this is only a beta (and may contain some "issues"), it also adds support for Windows Vista, upgrades Highway Tampa to required status, and adds a new map, Operation Blue Pearl. There's also a collection of gameplay tweaks, including some corrections to hit detection, and some anti-cheat additions.

Stay tuned for news of a Games On Net beta server - by the time the 1.26GB patch has downloaded and installed, we should have some more details.
