British comedian Stephen Fry, well known as an active user of social network site Twitter, has been the first to spill the beans on his involvement in the upcoming PSP port of Little Big Planet.
The beloved actor, well known for starring alongside long-time Footlights partner and House M.D. star Hugh Laurie in classic British comedy series such as A Bit of Fry and Laurie and Jeeves and Wooster, and more recently for major release films like V for Vendetta, first teased his 430,000 odd followers this morning with the following enigmatic tweet:
Stephen was also the narrator for the Playstation 3 version of Little Big Planet, and his Sackboy work is far from being his only involvement with the industry, with a major role in best-seller Fable II as well as narration on early Harry Potter games. His velvet voice has also been utilised in films such as The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and in many audiobooks. A champion of science fiction, fantasy, comics and gaming culture, his return to the well-received Little Big Planet franchise is likely to win approval from fans.
You might recall several recent Twitter related news items, including the mysterious milestone referred to by Duke Nukem Forever's George Broussard, as well as countless hardware speculations just slightly too tenuous to take seriously. The power of social networking to create hype and dissipate unfounded rumours - as well as break NDAs - has become a barely-tolerated phenomenon, so it's nice to see a prominent member of the community using the service responsibly and giving us an interesting little tidbit!

Morning all. In studio today voicing 2nd edition of a video game. Will check when I'm there if I'm allowed to say what it is...Speculation was rife, but apparently Media Molecule are too kind-hearted to leave us wondering for long, as one of the prolific twitterer's first statements after a full day of voice over work was the happy follow-up:
I've come to the end of a lush voice-athon and yes, am empowered to confess that it was for a new PSP version of Little Big Planet.
