Counter Strike, Condition Zero, Team Fortress 2, and Garry's Mod updated
It appears to be a pretty busy day for Steam today, with not one, not two, but three updates having been released. The first of these is for Counter Strike and Condition Zero, which fixes an exploit, and introduces a number of server-side changes.

The second of these is an update to Team Fortress 2, which implements a number of game changes, and new features in anticipation of new content, along with the application of some fixes.

Finally, Garry's Mod has a number of changes and fixes applied, which is sure to make some people happy, in some far corner of the sandbox world.

As always, each of the updates is available through the Steam client. They will be downloaded automatically upon a restart, or be pulled down at your Steam client's will if you've informed the client to keep your games up-to-date.


Counter Strike and Condition Zero
  • Prevent Russian Walking exploit
Server Changes
  • Fixed players being kicked from servers with an INVALID_STEAM_TICKET rejection
  • Added a message to the server console to show when the server has reconnected to Steam
  • Made map name and other variables reported by the server stay more current
  • Fixed mp_timeleft not updating in server rules (or any unlogged cvar for that matter)
  • Show HLTV being connected in the player count for pings
  • Fixed HLTV staying in players list even after disconnect
  • Fixed server hang when a user connects with a specially crafted info string
  • Fixed occasional crash under Linux on startup for SMP machines (Linux)
  • Cleaned up hlds_run script (Linux)

Team Fortress 2

Game Changes:
  • Reworked the character loadout screens to support future features.
  • Added the ability for players to permanently delete items from their inventory using the new Backpack menu. This does not reset achievements. Once an item has been deleted it can never be re-earned
  • Added the ability for players to reset their player stats using the Reset Stats button on the Stats menu. This does not reset achievements
  • Added a "player_teleported" game event that is sent when a player is teleported
  • Updated cp_junction_final to score per-capture instead of per-round. This fixes the map not working correctly with Tournament mode and the stopwatch
  • Scouts now drop the flag if they're carrying it when they start phasing
Fixes:
  • Fixed instances where Steam connection problems would cause some unlocked items to be unusable
  • Fixed the custom crosshair menu not clearing itself when "None" is selected for non-English clients
  • Fixed warning about not being able to execute skill1.cfg when starting the dedicated server

Garry's Mod

  • Fixed some func_breakable's not creating gibs
  • Fixed armor not hiding when dead
  • Fixed CS Player model's aim being completely wrong
  • Fixed dedicated servers not mounting all available content
  • Voice notifications are now drawn via Lua
  • Fixed people being telefragged multiple times by the same spawn
  • Fixed inconsistency in weapon dropping
  • Fixed SMG and AR2 not having viewmodel bobbing
  • Fixed view model spazzing when butting up against physics props
  • Fixed ScriptEnforcer sometimes not allowing AddCSLua'd files
  • Fixed ScriptEnforcer kicking people who don't own Counter-Strike: Source
