First announced in January this year, the live-expansion for Warhammer Online, Call to Arms has been slowly spreading its influence throughout the waaaagh torn online world, with the latest portion of the expansion, Beyond the Sands launching today. As a special event, which runs until the 27th of April the Beyond the Sands event sees the armies of Destruction and Order skirmish among the wreckage of "mysterious" air ships that have fallen from the sky.

With the airships, strange artifacts from far away lands appear, their secrets locked away in the Land of the Dead, where Tomb Kings reign. Order and Destruction are both interested in the artifacts, but they must first overcome the Tomb King's henchmen, Liche Preists and their diabolical skeleton army in order to succeed in unlock the new mysteries.

Players who take part and are successful in their quests in the new region will be awarded with new titles - Grave Robber and The Eternal, along with trophies corresponding to their achievements in the event. Those who are truly brilliant (or dedicated), will attain a special helm, Aviator Goggles, which has "special properties".

The new content is available to subscribers now, and sets the tone for the Land of Dead - which is due to open in June, after the Tomb Kings are confronted in May.
