If you've ever wanted to know what goes on behind-the-scenes in game development, Introversion are here to help. They've taken the huge step of unveiling a whole bunch of developer information for their upcoming Xbox Live Arcade release Darwinia+.

First announced twelve months ago, Darwinia+ promises to combine the original indie cult smash Darwinia with last year's multiplayer extravaganza, Multiwinia into one handy dandy combination package, thanks to Microsoft.

A quick visit to the Darwinia Plus website reveals a veritable treasure trove of info that's usually kept well under wraps. Feel free to dive in and check out virtually every aspect of game development - including code, milestones, playtest reports and actual project emails - all thanks to Introversion and MS.

With the tagline "If we can show it to you, we will" - I'd say that what's on show now is just the beginning, and this looks like a site that budding developers should be bookmarking straight away. While you're waiting for it to be updated, how about re-visiting some of Introversion's earlier games? A spot of DEFCON, perhaps? How about a bit of hacker action with Uplink? All Introversion titles are available now, via Steam, so even if the shops are shut, you can still get your fix.
