Flock! Now available on PC and Xbox 360 - PS3 version to come soon

If you've ever wanted to herd animals in a UFO, now is your chance. Capcom have announced that Flock! is now available on the PC, and the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 version to arrive with the next PlayStation Store update.

In Flock! players are placed in control of a UFO, which is tasked with herding a variety of animals to the mother ship. This takes place over a number of levels, where the player will need to overcome the stubbornness of adorable sheep, solve physics based puzzles, and engage in a race against the clock for "hidden bonuses" and extended game play.

Controlling the UFO from a third person perspective, players journey across "plushie" islands that are surrounded by water, with sheep, chicken, pigs, cows and other animals the only occupants of the islands.

With a "sophisticated" physics engine, players are able to use the UFO's tractor beam to move obstacles from the path of the animals, or the "depressor beam" to create crop circles through which the herds can be guided.

The game offers co-op play across all platforms. When the game is finished, players will unlock the level editor, allowing them to make their own levels.

The PC version of Flock! is available on Steam for US$14.99. Amusingly, the PC version of the game features SecuRom copy-protection, in spite of the alternatives that are offered by Steam. The game can be activated on up to five PCs.

For those that are afraid of DRM, or would rather play the game from the comfort of their couch, the Xbox 360 version is available through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace in exchange for 1200 Microsoft points.
