[GDC09] CryEngine 3 revealed in new trailer

Earlier this month, Jessica told us that Crytek, the development studio behind the visually stunning Crysis and Crysis Warhead were planning to unveil the CryENGINE 3 at the GDC.
The company has now released a trailer that shows off the engine's capabilities. The CryENGINE 3 sees the focus of Crytek shift to multi-platform development, with the engine promising scalability across the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The biggest news of the [event=12]GDC[/comp] unveil of the engine is that it will support MMO technology.

While no games using the CryENGINE 3 have yet been announced - the coming months should see at least one or two studios announce their infatuation with the technology and plans to use it an upcoming title, or two... or three. We'll keep you informed as we learn more.
