[GDC09] Modern Warfare 2 - Official Statement from Infinity Ward released

Yesterday, it was revealed to the world that Modern Warfare 2 - the sequel to the highly successful Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would see release on the 10th of November this year. While the teaser trailer from yesterday revealed very little, today the Activision and Infinity Ward PR machine has kicked into high gear, with CEO, Vince Zampella of Infinity Ward issuing a statement regarding the title.
Zampela has stated:
Infinity Ward haven't missed a beat with the Call of Duty franchise, with the studio having consistently producing popular and well received titles. Let us hope that Modern Warfare 2 is no exception.

No platforms have been announced for Modern Warfare 2 - but it is safe to presume that we'll see the title on the PC, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
Zampela has stated:

We can’t wait for our fans around the world to play starting November 10th.With Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare having sold some 12 million copies worldwide, it is (according to NPD and Gfk data) the best-selling first-person "action game" of all time.
