| Mythic Entertainment have announced that as a part of Call to Arms "live expansion" which is slowly rolling out across the online realms of Warhammer Online two new melee-based careers, the Orc Choppa and the Dwarf Slayer are now playable be all. The introduction of the Choppa and Slayer are small components of the live-expansion, which will add many more new features and "massive content" additions in the near future. The new classes are available to all players (new and old) - with the ability for those who've let their subscription slide to reactivate their accounts through the re-enlistment campaign that was announced last week. Mark Jacobs, Vice President and General Manager of Mythic Entertainment, in typical announcement fashion - had the following to say regarding the new classes: The Call to Arms has sounded, and the realms of Order and Destruction have welcomed two new combatants to the frontlines of WAR - the head-bashin' Orc Choppa and oath-sworn Dwarf Slayer. These new careers are brutal, unrelenting fighters who will stop at nothing to claim victory over their opponents on the Realm vs. Realm battlefields. |   | ![]() |

Both the Choppa (left) and Slayer (right) are both playable now.
The "brutal, unrelenting fighters" each have their own strengths and weaknesses, with both careers having an emphasis on melee-based combat moves. Firstly - there is the Orc Choppa - who is described as:
... an offensive juggernaut that embodies the love of a good fight found in every Orc. He has a one-track mind that is dead seat on wrecking havoc on enemy lines and bashin' heads! Driven by an inexplicably strong bloodlust, the Choppa is a whirlwind of destruction on the battlefield with a ... debatable sense of self-preservation.Meanwhile Dwarf Slayer carries himself into battle with more honourable intentions:
... seeking only a heroic and honorable death in combat. However, dying quietly is simply not in his nature. In WAR, the Slayer is a ruthless and terrifying fighter, throwing himself into battle with no regard for his own well-being. He is a force to be reckoned with and relies on his ever-escalating rage to power each swing of his dual axes.If either character takes your fancy - (and you're not already faithful to the cult of WAR) Mythic Entertainment have a number of details regarding a free 10-day trial on the game's website along with a list of frequently asked questions.
