World in Conflict gets two new community maps - airport, bocage

Two new community maps have been released for World in Conflict, as was promised late last year. There is one domination map, do_airport, and one tug of war map, tw_bocage. Both maps are now available on the file mirror, and can be played on ranked servers.

Each comes from a familiar map maker, with do_airport created by Luva, who made as_ozzault and tw_bocage created by Slepnyrl, who also worked on tw_arizona. We've got the two new maps on the file mirror, ready to download, and instructions on how to install them.

To play both do_airport (81MB) and tw_bocage (84MB), you'll need to download each map, and then copy them into the folder "/MyDocuments/World in Conflict/Downloaded/Maps", ensuring that any beta copy of the map is over-written before hand. The next time you start up World in Conflict, you'll then be able to join servers that are running the new maps.

The release of do_airport and tw_bocage brings the total number of post-release World in Conflict maps to nine, in addition to the twenty maps that shipped with the game. If you've not played in a while, and need to download all the new maps, we've got them on the file mirror, then the ones you want are Paradise, Ozzault, Valley, Arizona, Virginia, Countryside, and Vineyard.

Alternately, if you'd like to try making your own maps, we've got all the tools you need to create your own, with the map editor (and its patch) both available on the mirror.
