Both Seasons One and Two of Sam & Max will make their way to the platform, with each to be given a new name to commemorate the occasion. The first season will be known as Sam & Max: Save the World, with the second to be called Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space.
Telltale Games have in the past focused on distributing their titles digitally, with Sam & Max, and more recently Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People both released on the PC and through Wii Ware. To coincide with the release of the Xbox LIVE versions of Sam & Max, a worldwide retail release of the series will be handled by Atari.
Both Sam and Max seasons (in their entire, episodic glory) - will make their way to the Xbox LIVE Arcade for an as-yet unknown price an as-yet unknown date in the near future. Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale Games had the following to say regarding the launch of the game the Xbox LIVE Arcade:
With Sam & Max coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade and the approaching retail launch, we're reaching a larger audience than we ever have before. These new releases give us an opportunity to better communicate the imaginative stories that make the Sam & Max games so special, and to strengthen the unique identity of each season.

It is not yet known if Telltale Games will branch out to the PlayStation Network in the future. The company is currently working on Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The Xbox adaptations of Sam & Max are expected to have controls that will be optimised for the platform in lieu of a mouse.
