The PSP hasn't seen much in the way of high-profile game releases lately. Enter Resistance: Retribution, a third person shooter that was announced at E3 Last Year for the floundering platform.
Designed to bridge the gap between Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, the PSP exclusive title has finally gone gold, and is all set for a release on the 17th of March this year.

The game, which was developed by Sony Bend Studios may now be gold, but by his own admission, John Garvin, creative director at the Studio has noted that it actually went gold last week:
The PSP instalment of the game will feature over ten different types of enemies, from the Chimera - with enemies from both Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 to terrorise mobile gamers. Multiplayer gameplay, which is considered one of the strengths of the Resistance franchise will also feature, with eight player team death match, capture the flag and other game modes to be available.

Resistance: Retribution is due to hit the PlayStation Portable on the 17th of March. For more information on the game, check out our previous news coverage or our collection of screenshots and trailers that are safely tucked away on our file mirror.

We are just under a month from Resistance: Retribution hitting store shelves which means - we went gold last week!(Must have been one amazing "yay, we've finished development party" for it to take that long for the news to come out, right?)
