Epic Games and Midway have announced a new content pack for the PC and PS3 versions of Unreal Tournament 3. Dubbed the "Titan Pack", the the free pack will be available on the 5th of March. The "Titan Pack" will add a large amount of new content, with sixteen new maps (4 warfare, 3 vCTF, 6 Deathmatch, 3 CTF) - new mutators, and several new gameplay modes.
In addition - trophies for the PlayStation 3 version will be added, along with split-screen multiplayer and a whole lot more. We've got details on the new modes, and a list of the new maps and multiplayer functionality.
First - there is the all important summary list of what will be added:
The second new mode is Betrayal, where two teams are formed by individual players in a team-deathmatch scenario. It comes with a twist though - each player (and team) has numbers above their heads - giving them a point value. As the team kills members of the enemy team, (using instagib shock rifles), points are added to a pool. In an interesting twist, you can choose to kill a team-mate to take all their points, and to form your own near team. The Betrayal mode is described as fast-paced, and sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Finally, the last new game mode is called Greed, which is a capture the flag-inspired game-type, that is based on a UT2004 mod. Greed is played on Capture the Flag and Vehicle Capture the Flag maps. When a player dies, they drop a coloured skull which represents their "life force". The skull can then be picked up by other players, with skulls of different colours having different point values. As the game progresses, players will find themselves fighting over a sea of skulls in a desperate bid to acquire the most skulls and points.
Nineteen new maps will be added with the expansion pack, with a variety of Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Vehicle Capture the Flag maps to be included. Names and descriptions of several of the new maps can be found on the Beyond Unreal website - which also lists the every last little detail you could hope to want to know about the new maps.

The pack will be available for free on the 5th of March, and will be downloadable by PC and PS3 owners alike. There is no word as to whether this content will make its way to the Xbox 360 version of the title.

The new game modes are enabled through a series of mutators, with the namesake of the pack, Titan to see players gain energy when killing enemies. Once they fill their energy meter, they're able to mutate into a "giant with a super powerful rocket launcher". Once players have transformed into a Giant, they begin filling another meter - when that meter is full, they transform into a Behemoth - a 30 foot tall beast that is described as a "walking mountain of destruction" - which as self-destructs after thirty seconds.
