Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC delayed due to technical issue
Late last year, Eidos unveiled elaborate plans for a number of Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content packs for Tomb Raider: Underworld. The first of the downloadable content packs was to be "Beneath the Ashes", originally scheduled for release during the 2008 holiday period.

"Beneath the Ashes" was then rescheduled for a launch on the 10th of February, but hasn't appeared, and won't - for quite some time, according to an announcement made by Eidos which cites unspecified "technical difficulties" in regards to the delay. No revised date for the downloadable content has been announced as of yet.

A spokesperson from Eidos revealed the delay in a statement:
An unexpected technical issue means that Beneath the Ashes will not be available to download on 10th February as planned. We apologise for this delay and we are doing everything we can to bring you this exciting new content for Tomb Raider: Underworld as soon as possible.
This news follows recent job losses at Crystal Dynamics, which were to be accompanied with a reinvention of the Tomb Raider franchise in order to appeal to a broader audience.

Perhaps it is best that the "exclusive" downloadable content for the Xbox 360 is exclusive - otherwise there may have been an uproar amongst different fan bases of the game as to why their content was delayed due to "technical issues" on another console.
