Bionic Commando features the voice of Mike Patton (the former lead singer of the band Faith No More), who plays Nathan Spencer aka the Bionic Commando - a government operative who is betrayed by his employer and wrongly imprisoned, after serving them loyally.
After five years of prison, and on the day when Spencer is due to be executed, an "experimental weapon" detonates in Ascension City, causing an massive earthquake to rip through the city, along with a radioactive shock wave. The city is left in ruins, and its population ceases to be. The military quickly realises that a large terrorist force has moved into the city, and that they are searching for something.
The government then realise that they've only got one man who can deal with the problem - Nathan Spencer. The game will see the return of of Spencer's Bionic Arm, which will be accompanied with a few tweaks, allowing the player to unleash "a range of devastating attacks", and to quickly traverse ruined environments. It will form a key gameplay mechanic where:
Players can harness the power of the arm in a variety of ways to take out enemies - launch huge boulders or cars; send them flying with a close-quarters uppercut; use enemies as a shield or whip them into the air transforming them into a human kite.

The "next-gen" iteration of Bionic Commando is being developed by Swedish studio Grin who have previously worked on the recent remake of the 8-bit classic for the Xbox LIVE Arcade, Bionic Commando: Rearmed.
News that Bionic Commando is to come to the PC is accompanied with some other positive news from Capcom, as they've just joined the PC Gaming Alliance, which seems to indicate that we will be seeing a lot more of Capcom on the PC in the future.
