Red Alert 3: Uprising Expansion to expand live-action cast

Electronic Arts have announced an expanded cast for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising, the upcoming stand alone expansion to Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

Newly appointed actors for the live-action sequences include Jame Chung (from Dragonball Evolution), Ric Flair (a sixteen times over world heavyweight wresting champion), Malcom McDowell (from Heroes and Clockwork Orange), Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (from Prison Break) and finally, Holly Valance who is best known for her role as Felicity Scully on Neighbours.

The announcement of the expanded cast also confirms the return of Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic, who both played parts in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

Amer Ajami, Senior Producer at EA Los Angeles is excited about the cast stating that:
Quality live-action movies and storytelling have always been a unique component to the Command & Conquer DNA and we wanted to make sure we did things right with Uprising. We are really pleased we were able to assemble another large and talented ensemble for Uprising, and we think our fans are going to be pleased by everyone’s performances, not only in the cutscenes, but also in Commander’s Challenge, where you’ll actually be battling some of our stars.
For those who missed the announcement of the Uprising expansion, the Commander's Challenge which Ajami alludes to is an all new-game mode which will see players drop into fifty differing scenarios - each a fight for survival.

Ric Flair, (sixteen times world-heavyweight champion) who will star as Commander Hill in the game, is particularly excited about the Commander's Challenge mode:
When I found out that EA wanted me to be part of Command & Conquer, all I could say was ‘Woooooooooooo!' I had a great time on set and, whiIe I may have retired from the ring, I think my fans are going to love seeing the “Nature Boy” style and profile his way to victory. I know my kids are going to have a great time trying to take it to me on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Malcom McDowell, who will play president of the European Union, the fictonal Rupert Thornley, had the following to say about working on Uprising:
It’s great to be working with good actors and the more good actors you can get to do games, the better. In the past people might have thought you could get away with anything in games and that isn’t a good attitude. Kids are spending a lot of money and time on these games and they deserve first rate performers and I’m glad to say that this is what Uprising is.
While the actors may be enthusiastic about the project - all Red Alert 3 fans know the cut-scenes are full of cheese, often making it difficult to take the game's narrative seriously. For some - that is where the appeal is - for others, it's just starting to get a bit jaded.

Command and Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising is due for release through digital distribution platforms at some point in March. Specific pricing and an exact date of availability have not yet been announced.
