| With the temperature here in Adelaide forecast to hit 41 degrees Celsius today, a trinity of news regarding happenings on Valve's digital distribution platform, Steam has fittingly landed on my desk. Firstly - there is an update for Garry's Mod, and another for Saints Row 2. Finally, the trinity of news is rounded by something suitably F.E.A.Rsome, with users now able to pre-purchase F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin via the digital distribution platform. First - let's take a look at what's changed in Garry's Mod, which recieves a short change-list. The updates for Garry's Mod will be automatically applied upon a restart of the Steam client, or when the game is next launched. The changes are as follows: Garry's Mod Update:Next up is the Saints Row 2 update - which sees a number of crashes and other issues addressed, along with an increase in game performance by up to 20% on some sytems. The entire change-list can be seen below: Saints Row 2 Update:Finally, the highly anticipated first person shooter from Monolith Productions, F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin is now available for pre-purchase through Steam, at a cost of US$59.99. While that is a little painful at current exchange rates (equating to around AUD$90), if the Summer heat continues in its current state - it may be awfully tempting to not leave the house and brave the sunlight, which I imagine will be as scary as the game itself. If you're interested learning more about F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin you can download the demo, or watch our video interview. F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin is due for release on Friday, the 13th of February. | ![]() Garry's Mod | ![]() Saints Row 2 | ![]() F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin |
