That's right, starting Friday January 23rd, a playable demo for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will be made available via Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network - as well as a local PC copy that you'll be able to download at your leisure.
So - if you want to know a bit more about what's in store when Alma returns, now's your chance. The demo promises a sneaky peek at the terror, action and suspense that you'll get plenty more of in the full game - while giving you an opportunity to navigate through bloody hallways and corridors as featured in various ingame locations. Try out combat in several different parts of the city of Auburn, ruined after the catastrophic explosion that finished out our first adventure with F.E.A.R..
The highly-anticipated sequel to 2005's smash hit F.E.A.R. is full of the signature blend of seamless game pacing plus advanced visceral combat, set inside a sinister, paranormal universe. It starts just before the ending of the original game, and sees a Special Forces squad carrying out a routine mission as the city is blown apart by a supernatural explosion. Alma is a gifted child, who boasts immense power blended with a terrifying thirst for revenge, and has unleashed her wrath upon the city, throwing it into chaos. Your task: combat enemy forces (and the supernatural) as you struggle to find a way to stop Alma and uncover the mysterious forces put up against you - before it's too late.

...I'm actually headed off to meet one of the Monolith developers tomorrow (*cough*Santa*cough*) - so if you have any questions for him, let me know. The video camera will be there, the Father Christmas outfit probably won't be, and we've been promised a bit of a glimpse at the game, too.
