If you're ready for a bit of running, jumping action on your PC, now's your chance, with EA and DICE announcing that Mirror's Edge has been shipped to Australian retailers and will be arriving on shelves tomorrow, January 15th!
...if that's not exciting enough, the first downloadable content release has also been confirmed for January 29th, challenging Xbox 360 and PC gamers to achieve the fastest times possible, with seven all-new Time Trial maps and nine new races!
But wait... there's more! A shiny new Day One patch has been released too, 18MB of v1.01 update that fixes a 'potential freezing issue' caused by a PhysX clash.

Mirror’s Edge is a unique first-person action adventure where players are introduced to Faith, a ‘runner’ in a world where communication channels are highly monitored and the movement of information is closely watched. When Faith’s sister gets framed for murder, Faith finds herself on the edge of the city, on the wrong side of the law. The PC version of the game uses the NVIDIA PhysX physics engine to bring the world of Mirror’s Edge to life with real-world visual effects of wind, weapons impact, and free-motion movements. While there is a console demo available for both PS3 and Xbox 360, boasting a tutorial, a segment of single-player story mode and sections of Time Trial, PC gamers don't get the luxury of try-before-you-buy. Looks like it'll be a case of taking a deep breath and then leaping straight off the Mirror's Edge!
