World of Warcraft: Population 11.5 million

While the world is currently in the grip of a financial crisis, it looks like it'll take more than that to persuade gamers to give up their beloved MMORPG. More than 11.5 million people around the world are active subscribers to what else but World of Warcraft.
The revelation comes from developers Blizzard Entertainment, who say the new record was reached just a month following the November release of the latest expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King.
