Street Fighter IV gets a console release date

Capcom have announced that work on Street Fighter IV for consoles is nearing completion, with the game set to enter the retail market on the 17th of February, 2009 in the United States, before brawling its way in Europe (and presumably the rest of the world) a few days later on the 20th of February.
In addition, Capcom have released a new trailer that shows off the character Gouken fighting against other Street Fighter characters. While it may have been asking a little too much of fighting fans if it was released this year (especially with more than a dozen recent, high-profile releases), rest assured that you wallets will be given at least some chance to recover before Street Fighter IV hits stores early next year.

Street Fighter IV is due to hit the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. At this stage, it looks as though PC afficiandos may have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the title, which has not yet been dated for the PC.
