The 2008 Games On Net Horrific awards

After a sea of laughs from our Seadog Awards, we have decided to bring you more. This time around in the spirit of this month's festivities, we have put together The Games On Net Horrific Awards.
Sure Halloween might not be big in this country, but scary games are and they deserve to be awarded. Will there be zombie ushers at the ceremony or will a Boo try to sneak up on you? Bring your bag and trick or treat your way in, to see which games won our horrific awards!
Today is all about the costumes, the candy and the scare factor. Sure it might just be some silly holiday now, but it is one silly holiday I am fully behind. So wherever your day takes you, just remember not to load up one of these games at midnight. Never know what might pop out of your TV; Trick or treat?
Next month the awards will return and YOU can be a part of it! The theme will be Movember and we will be looking for the greatest moustaches in video games. Got some ideas? Seen a great mo in a game? Drop me a PM in the forums and get your awards and votes in!

Winner: Left 4 Dead Survival horror has to be one of the best genres and all signs have been pointing to Left 4 Dead as an upcoming highlight. Zombies AND co-op, from a trusty developer? We have died and gone to Z-day! |
||
Winner: Alone in the Dark Well there was a lot of talk from this game, some good trailers and interesting game play for the first hour. Then something clicked and turned this game bad, almost like it was possessed. Send this back to where it belongs... alone in the dark. |

|
Winner: SIREN: Blood Curse Dead set one of the most intense and immersive games I have ever played, SIREN has to take the award. This trailer pretty much sums up everything about the game from the mystery to the scares. |

Winner: Blizzard Much like vampires will try and suck you dry, Blizzard has us going back again and again. The trilogy pack of Starcraft 2... the next World of Warcraft expansion and even Diablo III! If the games stay as good as they have been, they can drain me dry. |
|
||
Winner: Sega Entertainment Another company has taken out an award, but this time it is more for their resurrection time and time again of that childhood friend and beloved blue hedgehog, Sonic. Just let it go Sega, we want to go back and remember his good days. Please, I beg of you. |
|||
Winner: F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin They were on track, the game was looking good. Then it gets a massive delay that upset fans world wide. Why? I honestly think Alma got out and caused a ghost attack on the studio. However it did allow for them to reclaim the F.E.A.R. title... which was announced months ago and the game is still four months away. Yup, ghost attack. |

Winner: Silent Hill: Homecoming With the video games R18+ rating debate still raging on, the latest in the Silent Hill series probably won't see our shores this year. Maybe it might be able to take out the 'Censored for Mr Atkinson' award next year. Sad, it was a good series. |
