Left 4 Dead pre-orders to get early demo

Valve Software today announced further bonuses for pre-orders of their upcoming survival horror game, Left 4 Dead. Gamers who have pre-ordered the title on steam (or from participating U.S. retailers), will be granted early access to the demo, in addition to the 10% discount previously announced.

Early access to the Left 4 Dead demo will commence on the 6th of November, and will be available to both Xbox 360 and PC gamers. For those that don't wish to pre-order the game, the demo will be available on the 11th of November. In an odd move - the demo will "conclude" on the 18th of November, when the game becomes available worldwide.

The demo will feature both single-player and co-op - with support for 1-4 players. Gabe Newell, President and co-founder of Valve Software had the following to say regarding early impressions of Left 4 Dead:
Every time someone plays Left 4 Dead, we witness the most overwhelmingly positive reaction that we've seen from any of our games. This gives us tremendous confidence in the product and why we've taken the game on the road, produced this pre-launch demo, and invested more advertising dollars on the title than any prior release from Valve.
How much advertising dollars? Around US$10 million - which is a campaign that will encompasses TV, outdoor, print and online advertising.

Left 4 Dead will arrive in Australian stores (and be available on Steam) on the 18th of November. It will also be available for the Xbox 360.
