There are 14 licensed songs included in the game, and we have the complete track listing for you. It's not the blockbuster rockin' collection of other music games, but the songs that are thrown in are well-known and loved, at least. While that number may be a little smaller than you expected, remember that Nintendo have previously announced that there will be some 50 songs that you can play - so it seems likely that the remainder of the songs are made up of either public domain tracks, or of Nintendo theme tunes.
Remember that Wii Music is different from most other music games because you actually play the music, rather than playing along with it, or hitting the right keys at the right time. The importance of master recordings isn't so important here, as everybody will play the game - and the song - differently!
Anyway, the 14 licensed songs that you can perform are:
"Jingle Bell Rock" - Bobby Helms (and everybody else, every year)
"I've Never Been to Me" - Charlene
"September" - Earth, Wind and Fire
"The Loco-Motion" - Little Eva / Grand Funk Railroad / Kylie Minogue
"Woman" - John Lennon
"Suriyaki" (Japanese) - Kyu Sakamoto
"Material Girl" - Madonna
"Please Mr. Postman" - Marvellettes (and The Beatles)
"I'll be There" - The Jackson 5
"Every Breath You Take" - The Police
"Do-Re-Mi" from "The Sound of Music"
"Daydream Believer" - John Stewart (popularly performed by The Monkees)
"Chariots of Fire" - Vangelis
"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" - Wham!

...so - what do you think? Wii Music is looking at a release in Australia before the end of the year, maybe by then some more of the songs will have been announced. But really - Kylie, George Michael, Madonna and Mario? Sounds like a decent little combination for me! Now, if only we could see more actual gameplay...
