[BlizzCon '08] StarCraft 2 confirmed as a trilogy
Wow. It was looking a bit like BlizzCon wasn't really going to pull out anything amazingly exciting, but we've just been blown away.

StarCraft II has just been confirmed - it's not a single game any more. They just had toooo much content, so rather than compromise on quantity or quality, they've expanded the title into a trilogy, with one game looking at each race.

You'll be looking at a lot of Sarah Kerrigan - with the first two games at least focussing on her character, and her relationships with other characters.

At this stage, the games are:

Terrans: Wings of Liberty - all about Jim Raynor as a freedom fighter, trying to resolve his relationship with the Queen of Blades.

Zerg: Heart of the Swarm - which is all about Kerrigan herself

Protoss: Legacy of the Void - which we don't know too much about at this point.

We don't know much more than that at this stage, but... wow. Not one game, but three, and each one looks like being absolutely jam-packed with content. StarCraft fans - you're in for a treat.
