Timmy spilled the secret way back in May, but there's still not a lot of buzz building around Sega's new PS3 strategy RPG, Valkyria Chronicle. Today could be the day that changes, with the release of a new trailer which gives a little more insight into gameplay mechanics, the launch of the game's official website, and the announcement of a playable demo available via the Playstation Network as of October 9th.

This latest trailer gives us more of a look at the BliTZ battle system (Battle of Live Tactitcal Zone - how I love painfully stretched acronyms), including the map view of the Command Mode phase as well as some neat real time combat in the Action Mode. You can see some of the different unit types interacting with the environment as well as each other and enemies.

Command Mode, Action Mode, and Target Mode
The plot concerns Welkin, a young man whose tiny neutral country Gallia is sandwiched between two opposing powers, one of which is intent on invading. If world war weren't enough, a legendary race of beings called Valkyria turn up as well.
If the intriguing quasi-WWII atmosphere and unusual cel shaded, pastel-even-when-they're-not-actually-pastel visual stylings have caught your eye, and you'd like to see more, the server's absolutely bursting with alternate trailers, or check out the official website. Valkyria Chronicle arrives on PS3 November 14th.
