Street Fighter IV - two new trailers pull many punches
Street Fighter IV is probably the most anticipated fighting game now that Soulcalibur IV has been released. It would appear that Capcom are aware of this, releasing a teaser trailer, presenting some of the back story of the the game. In addition, a trailer depicting a fight between two characters has also made its way onto the mirror.

This year has seen a flurry of "fourths", with Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, and the DS remake of Final Fantasy IV. While it is still unclear exactly when Street Fighter IV will barge its way into our homes for some button-mashing madness, the new trailers should entertain those waiting for the game.

While it may not be extraordinary impressive technically, and perhaps a rotten carrot to dangle before Street Fighter aficionados, it is still an insight into some of the back story present in the game. I think the English dub just ruins the impact of the short sequence, replacing what I'd imagine to be stern, serious Japanese voice acting with child-like English speaking atrocities. If your dreams and hopes of the title have been crushed by the trailer, Capcom do offer some salvation in the form of an in-game fight sequence.

No local release date has been set for Street Fighter IV, but it is looking increasingly likely that its invasion of homes is set to begin early next year. It will be available on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and of course, in Arcades.
