Silent Hill: Homecoming - Refused Classification in Australia

There will be no Homecoming for Australians, with the Classifications Board deciding that Konami's scary adventure, Silent Hill: Homecoming is inappropriate for Australian audiences.
We're currently waiting for the details of the decision to effectively ban the sixth game in the Silent Hill franchise, but as it stands, it seems we're going to miss out. We are also waiting to hear back from local distributors Atari Australia, to see if they've made any decisions as to whether they will appeal the refusal, or else re-submit an edited version of the game.

Silent Hill: Homecoming, originally due for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in November, joins a growing list of games refused by the Classifications Board, which also includes Blitz: The League, Reservoir Dogs, Postal 2, and the original versions of Dark Sector, Soldier of Fortune: Payback and, most recently, Fallout 3.
This is the fourth game to be Refused Classification in 2008.
