48hr Games Design Lock In Comp - Last chance to enter!

The IGDA (International Game Developers Association) and GameOn have come together once again this year to run the 48hr game making challenge set in Brisbane. You and your team (max. 6) are only allowed 48 hours to make a working prototype of a game using keywords provided on the starting day. The competition is running from the 3rd - 5th Oct so this is your last chance to get a team together. Webcam entries are available so if you live interstate don't give up hope!
I shall be there with my team as well and would love to see some more people enter. But if you can't make it this time, we have set up a new forum for you to join other games designers, animators and coders. Chat about what you are working on, find more info on events like this OR even get feedback on something you have done.
Below is the list of the details for the Brisbane 48hr challenge.
Dates: Friday 3rd Oct to Sunday 5th OctOne of the most exciting parts about the competition is that the judges are people working within the industry. John Passfield (Snr Game Designer, Pandemic) and Gordon Moyes (Exec Producer, Krome Studios) have been confirmed to judge the competition. It will be a huge honour to have them see and play a game from up and coming designers, let alone the amount of experience all the participants will receive. There will also be the guys from the 3 Blokes Studio hanging around to help out teams and have a bit of fun as well.
Venue: the Glasshouse, CIP Kelvin Grove
Set-up: Friday Oct 3 - from 2.00pm
Challenge starts: Friday Oct 3 @ 4.00pm with three keywords
Challenge ends: Sunday Oct 5 @ 4.00pm
Sausage sizzle: Sunday Oct 5 from 4.00pm - 5.30pm
Winner announced: Sunday Oct 5 @ 5.45 pm
Competition Rules:
* all entered games must be made within the 48 hour period
* all entered games must exploit the three keywords given out at the start of the challenge
* games can be made in anything as long as there is NO ABSOLUTE LICENSE (ie no mods that require another game to run)
* team members are allowed one exit pass at a time (with a 0.5 extra in case someone needs to dash out for food or a shower of course)
* games and assets must be entrant's own original work
* judges decision is final
* winner will be announced after the sausage sizzle on Sunday
* entries remain entrants property but gameOn reserves the right use to entries for publicity

If you can't make the competition, but still live in Brisbane and have an interest in this sort of thing. Pandemic Studios Lead Designer Morgan Jaffit will be holding a tips for games designers talk on Wednesday 1st Oct to get people ready and thinking for the competition or just to learn more about the industry.
