Yarrrr! Ye landlubbers it's International Talk Like a Pirate Day and we have put together a worthy collection o' games that follow the spirit o' today's festivities.
Which games earned glory and riches over the seven seas and which were forced to walk the plank? Avast, me hearties for this is one treasure worth looking into!
With International Talk Like A Pirate Day just kicking off, I hope the rest of your day is filled with adventures, shivering timbers and possibly some rum. Yo-ho-ho! Now swab the decks and set sail! There be treasure to find!

Winner: Tales of Pirates There haven't been too many pirate games out but this little MMO is launching Version 2.0 Winter Island very soon. Fun for all ages of pirates! |

Winner: Pirates Vikings and Knights II This stands out clearly over everything else. Armed with a sword, a pistol and a POWDER KEG! Light it up and throw it at your enemies while running around screaming out your pirate slang. Be sure to grab the Beta 2.2 Client and take on those Vikings and Knights! |

Winner: Pirates of the Burning Sea There is something about pirates and the open seas that seem to translate well into MMO games. This video is a look at all the different types of pirates you can be, and is quite a good looking trailer. |

Winner: Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball While the war still rages over the internet on which is better, Blazing Lizard set about solving it a different way... with dodgeball! An interesting and fun idea that turned into an interesting and fun game. |

Winner: Pirates of the Caribbean Online While this game wasn't brilliant in game play, the world, sounds and life of a pirate was truly expressed here. But hey it's still better than those other movie ties in under a similar name. |

Winner: Empire: Total War While not technically a pirate game, the latest in the Total War series will be the first with naval battles. If there isn't pirates in the game, sure enough someone will make a mod to include them. Savvy. |

Winner: Crysis Oh come on, you didn't see this coming? With all the talk around the world of Crysis being downloaded and having less than expected sales, there was no way I couldn't give it the award. |
