Resistance 2: US Street Date Announced, Collector's Edition Detailed

We've previously reported speculation that Playstation 3 exclusive Resistance 2 is set for a release at some point in November. Today, a US release date for the title has been announced, with November 4th set as the day of reckoning in that region.
With the announcement of the release date, a collector's edition for Resistance 2 has also been detailed, which will include a number of extras. It is uncertain at this point whether the local release will reflect the US date - and if we will be seeing a collector's edition at all.
Resistance 2 continues on from Resistance: Fall of Man, which is generally considered one of the most successful of PS3 launch titles. In Resistance 2, the player assumes the role Nathan Hale once more, continuing the war against the Chimera, an aggressive alien race. Hale must not only battle the Chimeran army, but also the alien virus which has infected him.

* Copy of Resistance 2 with special edition cover artwork.News regarding the upcoming online beta have also emerged, with US audiences able to enter the beta through pre-ordering the game, or subscribing to Sony's Qore service. For the rest of the world, an application form is available on the Resistance 2 website, which informs that the beta will be coming "soon". While "soon" is currently undefined, reports around the web speculate that the beta will begin in October.
* A double-sided art book covering "war-torn America from two unique perspectives."
* A bonus DVD with a behind-the-scenes video, a preview of an upcoming Resistance 2 novel, a Resistance chronology video, and a digital copy of issue #0 of the Resistance comic.
* An exclusive in-game HVAP Wraith multiplayer weapon skin.
* A Chimera Hybrid action figure created by DC Unlimited.
