Sony to expand Home closed beta testing shortly

While we haven't heard anything about it for quite some time, Sony's upcoming virtual world, Home is one of the most anticipated things set to hit the Playstation 3 in the near future.
In Home, the player is given an opportunity to create an avatar ala Second Life, and enter into a realistic world populated by other Playstation 3 owners. For those who are keen to get their hands on Home early, in the form of beta testing, Sony have announced that some new invitations would be arriving shortly in order to expand the beta.
In the US, Playstation 3 owners will be able to register their interest in the beta by downloading a Playstation 3 theme based around Home. For Europe, and us folk in Australia, emails will be distributed to those who have been most active on the Playstation Network and Playstation Store.
These email invitations will be given out "shortly". There is still no word at this point when Home will be available to all, but we'll keep you informed as more information comes door-knocking.
