BioShock's PS3 appearance will give gamers 'exclusive' looks at Rapture through DLC

While PC and Xbox 360 gamers have both experienced the near-flawless masterpiece that is BioShock, those who use the Playstation 3 as their primary gaming platform are presumably waiting for October, a time, when among other things, we see BioShock surface for the Playstation 3.
While the details were lost in the murky depths of E3, the Playstation 3 version of BioShock is to be given a few tweaks in addition to the inclusion of some unique downloadable content. We've got some details regarding the downloadable content, along with some new screenshots from the PS3 version of the title.
The inclusion of exclusive downloadable content may add a little appeal or repurchase value to select fans of the title, but I doubt it is bound to sway those who have already played the game on the PC or the Xbox 360.

Though fundamentally the same game, few features will be new to the Playstation 3 version:

• The world is your weapon: Take control of your world by hacking mechanical devices, commandeering security turrets and crafting unique items critical to your survival
• Weapon upgrades provide ammunition for every situation: Upgrade your weapons with ionic gels, explosives and toxins to customize them to take advantage of your enemies' weaknesses
• Gameplay that evolves around your playing style: Customise your experience by genetically modifying your body through dozens of Plasmid Stations scattered throughout the city and turn your body into the ultimate weapon
• Adaptive AI provides challenges around every corner: Explore a living world where the inhabitants have interesting and consequential relationships with one another that impact your gameplay experience
• Immerse yourself in Rapture: Experience breathtaking visuals that vividly illustrate the forlorn Art Deco city, highlighted by strikingly realistic water effects and meticulously detailed environments
