Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars - invading Australian consoles today
According to my calculations, Australian gaming consoles are due for a Strogg invasion today, with the launch of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars on both Xbox 360 and PS3.

Finally arriving, more than 6 months after the PC copies, console gamers will now get the chance to take part in the battle between Earth's Global Defence Force (GDF) against the invading alien Strogg, as they duke it out for the fate of our planet.

Kevin Cloud, Executive Producer, id Software explains:
"Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars raises the bar for next-gen console games with its variety and intense combat. Whether you're playing online with fifteen friends, or playing a single-player campaign against amazing AI, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars delivers a new level of team play and combat strategy to the PS3 and 360."

If you've been living under a rock, or the delay's made things a little fuzzy, let me remind you what all the fuss is about. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is set within the QUAKE universe in the year 2065. Priding itself as one of the ground-breaking team and mission-based multiplayer warfare games, ET:QW offers gamers distinc classes, weapons and vehicles to choose from, so there are countless ways to join the battle. Work as a team to defeat the enemy and achieve objectives - either online against other players, or by yourself with "surprisingly lifelike" bots. Earn experience and promotions as you play across multi-mission campaigns, and all your stats are recorded globally, so players can track their rank, and compare their scores within the community.

If you've been hanging out for this, now's your chance. Grab ET:QW now on PS3 or Xbox 360, and finally see what all the hype's about.
