Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - First-look gameplay video
The Australian launch of Nintendo's WiiWare service is looming (...although we still don't have a set date yet), and it promises to bring some pretty spiffy little titles along with it. One of these titles is, of course, the ultra-special Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (which we like to call SBCG4AP) - and if you'd like to know a bit more, we've been slipped some new details - and a brand new trailer, for the first episode, Homestar Ruiner (no, that's not a typo).

If you don't have a Wii, or would like to keep your point-and-click cartoon games "where they belong", we're assured that the series will be arriving on PC as well, don't fret.

HomestarRunner.com creators Mike and Matt Chapman have been closely involved with the game's development since the outset, making sure that Strong Bad and pals are being created in character, and kept in line with the online cartoon that has been running since 2000.

Everybody's harboured secret desires to become a loudmouthed megalomaniac, the self-proclaimed coolest person ever, in boxing gloves, on the ongoing quest to achieve total awesomeness, right? Well, with SBCG4AP, your chance is at hand!

First episode Homestar Ruiner observes a typical day in the House of Strong - with Strong Bad dominating in video games, catching up on his emails, and then setting out to give his enemies some pummelling. Today, however, Strong Bad has cooked up a clever scheme to win the tri-annual Race to the End of the Race - and this scheme has resulted in an unwanted guest... Homestar Runner!

How will Strong Bad get the disgraced athlete back on the A-List for Free Country, USA? How will he get him out of the house?

Both Chapman brothers have been putting their heads together with Telltale designers Dave Grossman, Mark Darin and Mike Stemmle as they work on the episode, with the project resulting in a "hilarious gaming experience", that plonks the player down in the middle of an extended Homestar Runner cartoon. The main plot unfolds with some intuitive story-driven gameplay, but the game also features achievements, and side activities such as the ability to create your own "Teen Girl Squad" comics, or play a spot of the Videlectrix arcade classic, Snake Boxer 5.

Due to arrive on WiiWare and PC later this year, you can find more details on SBCG4AP at the official website, which basically tells you all of what I said here - but it comes with a bonus development blog penned by Strong Bad himself (with a little help from the Chapman brothers). Enjoy!
