Metal Gear Online Beta Delayed

The beta, which was scheduled for launch today, will be pushed back until the 26th. This is due to 'extraordinary levels of traffic' from all over the world causing the MGS Online beta servers to become unstable, not allowing the beta to download, or registrations attempts to be successful.
The issue is being worked on currently - and the Metal Gear Online team remains optimistic that it will be available to play by the 26th of April. To compensate - the beta will now end on the 11th of May, instead of the 5th. The 5th is still an important date though, as the Metal Gear Online beta registration codes will expire on this date - so be sure to register for the beta before that date if you want to give it a whirl.
This seems to be a common issue with a few recent games which rely upon servers for authentication and other features. Audiosurf, while frustrating initially with server time outs eventually sorted things were out after a few days. I'm sure the Metal Gear Online servers will be all nice and shiny shortly - with a few gears needing some polish. (Server in question may not actually contain any gears.)
