There's been teasers and sneaky hints tucked around the place all suggesting the same thing, but it's now been confirmed - Motorstorm 2 will be hitting PS3s all over the place by the end of the year - and we've got the first video to show off!

The sequel leaves the mountainous desert of the anything-goes racing original, and heads to a lush Pacific island covered with dense jungle, towering peaks, thick swamps and steaming volcanoes. Take all the vehicles you love from the first title and rampage through and over tangled undergrowth, thick mud, fast-flowing rivers and bubbling pools of lava. Choose from ATVs, buggies, race trucks, mudpluggers, Big Rigs, rally cars and motorbikes... and for the first time ever, joining the cast is the new monster truck class.

No real details at this stage, but we're promised 16 new multi-route tracks, 16-player online head-to-head racing - and the developers, Evolution Studios, have listened to the fans and included the hugely-requested feature of 4-player split-screen mode. Yum.
