Audiosurf - Music Racer grooves onto Steam

Nobody can deny that music is an integral part of any game experience. This is especially the case in Audiosurf, an innovative new title from Dylan Fitterer. If you ever wanted to "ride the music", you'd better snap up a copy of the game when it goes on sale on Friday, via Steam.
For a mere US$9.95, not only can you get a copy of the game, but it's also bundled with the complete soundtrack to The Orange Box, meaning you can surf your way through "Still Alive" and other tracks from Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Team Fortress 2.

The game is one of the first titles to fully utilise the recently-launched Steamworks, with the title boasting full support for Steam Achievements, meaning that your surfing prowess can be shown on your Steam Community profile page with a minimum of fuss!
...but just what is Audiosurf?
Put simply, it's a "music-adapting puzzle racer", where you gain points by clustering together blocks of the same colour on the highway. The twist, of course, is that the game uses your own music to create a personalised experience. Each ride is determined by your choice of music - down to the speed, shape and mood. As you race, you can compete with others online who have chosen the same song - who will get the highest score on your favourite track?
Anyway - if you do decide to pick this one up, don't forget to let us know what your favourite tunes are, and which ones translate well to being used in the game.
