The 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards have just been held - and, suprise surprise, Call of Duty 4, BioShock and the contents of The Orange Box (Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal) all won big in Las Vegas.
Two major industry icons were also honoured by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences in recognition of the amazing contribution they've had on the industry: Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment is the eleventh member of the AIAS Hall of Fame, while Ken Kutaragi, former CEO and president of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc was presented with the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
Joseph Olin, president, AIAS comments:
These awards are judged by the industry itself, and recognise the talented individuals and development teams that have contributed to the multi-billion dollar software industry.
Without further ado - the envelope please!
This is the eleventh year of the Interactive Achievement Awards, which have recognised outstanding development teams, individuals and their game projects for their contribution to the multi-million dollar worldwide games industry since 1996.
