The Romantics dont really like Activision

It seems The Romantics known best for their hit song What I Like About You, which is featured in Guitar Hero: Rock The 80s, are suing Activision over the likeness and an "imitation" of the track in the game.

While Guitar Hero III has more original recordings from bands than the covers, the older versions of the game relied on using cover versions of various bands songs. It seems in the eyes of The Romantics the cover version is 'too close' to the original.

Activision had secured the rights to do a cover version of the song through the correct means, the band is just disputing the sound. As the bands Attorney, William Horton discusses.
"It's a very good imitation, and that's our objection. Even the guys in the band said, 'Wow, that's not us, but it sure sounds like us. The sales of this game are huge. We're all for good commerce. We just want to share in it."
If the case goes through and is successful it will see Guitar Hero: Rock The 80s pulled from shelves. So let me just be the first to say... Thank you The Romantics!
