Nintendo gets down to some trademarking
Some new "news" from Nintendo today in the form of seven new trademarks being registered recently. Fans being the way they are, this list has been scrutinised and analysed to try and figure out what Big N has in store for us.

As with most things that are not-yet-confirmed, this is all highly speculative, but there looks like there's a couple of gems in there... and if they're not gems, then at least it gave you something to think about, right?
Trademarks:

- Pikmin
- Nintendo Magic
- Mii Contest Channel
- Wii Body Controller
- Wii Handle
- Mii Audition
- Soma Bringer

Things that are fairly straight forward:

- The Pikmin brand has been updated, suggesting the possibility of a new title in the series soon.

- Former Japanese-only game Magic Taizen appears to now have the localised title of Nintendo Magic, all ready for its launch in the US in late November.

Things that seem likely:

- The introduction of the Mii Contest Channel, which sounds a lot like "Check Mii Out", as discussed by Nintendo at this year's E3.

- Perhaps the Wii balance board has been given a new name too, Body Controller.

Stabs in the dark:

- The combined Intarweb hive-mind is currently split over this Wii Handle dealie. It could either be a new name for the steering wheel device being released for Wii driving games... or it could be doing away with the old Friend Codes and acting in more of a gamertag capacity... or it could be a sort of carrying handle for the console. Or it could be something completely different.

- Mii Audition could be another new Wii channel, or it could be a Wii Sports type game that uses your own Miis as characters in a new game, perhaps involving singing and dancing?

- ...finally, nobody really seems to have any idea what on earth Soma Bringer will be about, but I think most people are pretty firm on the idea that it probably won't involve drugs. Not real ones, anyway.
