Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition to feature Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine

Oblivion
If you haven't already picked up your copy of Oblivion, maybe hold off for a little while. 2K and Bethesda Softworks have just announced they're planning to release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, for both Windows PC and Xbox 360.

Of course, if you haven't yet experienced the 2006 Game of the Year, this is the perfect opportunity, as it bundles the original game together with the official Shivering Isles expansion pack, and even the downloadable content, Knights of the Nine.

The original was released for both platforms in March 2006, and already has a swag of awards from publications around the world - not to mention numerous RPG of the Year and Game of the Year titles. On several websites, Oblivion is the highest rating Xbox 360 game of all time.

Boasting a powerful combination of free-form gameplay, along with cutting edge AI, unprecedented graphics and voice acting by legends Terrance Stamp, Lynda Carter, Patrick Stewart and Sean Bean, Oblivion tops it all off with an award-winning soundtrack. Choose to unravel the epic narrative as you see fit, or wander aimlessly, exploring the vast world as you search for your own challenges.

The Shivering Isles then comes along and adds another 30 hours of gameplay, and the opportunity to explore an entirely new area - the realm of Sheogorath, the Daedric prince of Madness. The bizarre, vast landscape is split in two - Mania and Dementia - each filled with countless twisting dungeons mirroring the roots of the trees they hide beneath and within. Sheogorath himself believes the player may be his champion - the defender of the realm, protector of its inhabitants, discoverer of items, ingredients, spells and more.

Finally, Knights of the Nine comes to the party with an all-new faction, and a bunch of quests for noble characters - and many of the questions surrounding the Ayleid ruins throughout Oblivion have their answers hidden in the expansion. Join the new faction and found your own order of Holy Knights, before leading them into battle against a sorcerer-king and his demonic minions! Of course, there's stil lthe usual massive dungeons to explore and legendary relics to search for - such as the holy armour and weapons of the Divine Crusader.

Mmm. All three games are bundled into the one GOTY pack - and dates and other such details are coming soon, I promise.
