Let The Flame War Begin - Guinness Awards Black Ops Best Ending Ever

When gaming moved out of the arcades and onto the home console, the focus soon shifted from score to story. No longer was it acceptable to assume control of an indistinct avatar. Soon even the likes of Pacman obtained a history and purpose. While some games have challenged even cinema's greats in terms of story, Guinness are bound to cause a stir after awarding Call of Duty: Black Ops the title of Greatest Videogame Ending of All Time.

Black Ops beat out the likes of Metal Gear Solid, Fallout 3, and Oblivion to claim the title. The record was determined from the votes of "13,519 fans of gaming" and has been published in the Guinness World Records 2012 Gamer's Edition. The list of the top 50 reads as below:
