PALGN's Entire Editorial Team to Quit

Over the years, I’ve hung out with PALGN executive editor Jeremy Jastrzab a number of times. We even wound up in Paris one year for an Ubisoft do, totally enamoured with the legginess of a local burlesque show. He’s a good guy and loves his gaming, which is why it’s such a shame to see him and his staff leaving PALGN for good. So what happened? In quite a straightforward statement, Jez outlined the reasons why PALGN’s editorial team will no longer be a part of the site as of February 10th:

"The reason for this decision stems from an inability for the editorial team and the PALGN ownership to come to agreement on how the site would function. Whether or not PALGN will continue to produce any video game content will be solely at the discretion of the current ownership, and what they wish to do with the site."

The current ownership he speaks of would be Roland Kulen. Many a heated email was recently exchanged between Kulen and PALGN’s departing editorial team, a heated back-and-forth that has surfaced online. While the future of PALGN is currently up in the air, many – if not all – of its team will be leaving to pursue other avenues within the gaming industry after “tying up some loose ends.”

PALGN was originally formed in 2003 as a PAL region-specific offshoot of IGN before IGN instituted its Australian branch.
