A Valley Without Wind Goes Into Beta
About time. I was talking this little beauty up a while back, waiting for just this day. It just looks so interesting. A side-scrolling RPG with a massive procedurally-generated world to go with? Okay, sure. Happily, now we can all sample the ambitious indie wares of A Valley Without Wind, at least in beta form. The PC and even Mac versions of the beta can be found over here for immediate sampling.
If it tickles you, you can pre-order it for cheap over here, too. Of course, no release date has been set for the game just yet, but its development continues to steam along and you can follow the game’s various ins and outs over at the Arcen Games blog. I dare say this might well end up a powerful contender at next year’s Independent Games Festival, maybe even the Indie DB’s. It’s a good time for homemade gamin’.
