Fans of the tactical shooter there is some good news on the horizon. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Multiplayer demo is set to be released next week. Some gamers have been involved in the closed beta for the game. This will give the entire gaming public a chance to look at the PC version of this successful franchise. Ghost Recon made a major change to its franchise last year by releasing separate versions of the game for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Ubisoft have released this information about the multiplayer demo:

"In the multiplayer demo gamers can get their first taste of the map CALAVERA, a map created exclusively for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 PC. CALAVERA, already tested in the closed multiplayer beta has been revisited to incorporate the feedback given to us by the fans ... The new Recon vs. Assault mode will have players fight their way through this Mexican village near the US border. As a member of the elite Ghost squad, gamers will need to use all of their know-how and expertise to stay hidden and sneak through small winding roads to locate and engage the enemy. As a Mexican rebel, players must be prepared to engage the Ghosts, using high calibre fire power, and must stop them at all cost ... The return of Team Deathmatch will challenge players and their friends to a fight a fight where everything is possible; explore, engage and terminate."

Ubisoft have been in the gaming news for non-gaming reasons in the last couple of weeks with rumours that EA were looking to take over the company and turn themselves in to an even bigger software developer. However, this should bring things back on track and keep the news focussed squarely where it should be - on the games. At the moment the GRAW 2 demo is set to be released on the 7th of June (so that would mean the 8th for us in the great southern land).
