I'd giver HER an exclusive, yer yer

Industry reports following Resident Evil 5’s debut at E3 a few years back indicated that the game could’ve been a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360, and now those same indicators are pointing in the opposite direction where Resident Evil 6 is concerned. Reports are trickling out of Capcom HQ that seem to suggest that a significant fee offered up by Sony for the privilege is about to go through. If all goes according to plan (for Sony, at least), Resident Evil 6 will be exclusive to the PS3 for anything up to an entire year.

While unconfirmed at this time, it’d make karmic sense – Sony really owe Microsoft not one but two good ones, firstly for Mass Effect and secondly for Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops’ map-packs, both of which Microsoft managed to secure as timed exclusives for their machine. However, details on Resident Evil 6 itself are scarce even if it has been heartening to hear that it will be a “full reboot” rather than an extenuation of Resident Evil 5’s rather uncharacteristic actioneering.
