Far Cry 3

A UbiSoft creation.

Description

Far Cry 3 is the upcoming sequel to the 2008 video game Far Cry 2.[2]
The sequel is in preliminary stages of development. Far Cry 3 could possibly continue to take place in the African setting. However, Kevin Shortt, a Ubisoft scriptwriter, mentioned that the Antarctic setting is a possibility for future games.[3]
According to the Official Playstation Magazine, Far Cry 3 was due for release at the end of 2011 as the following quote suggested "Start taking the malaria medicine in preparation: Far Cry 3 could be arriving before the end of the year."
This statement was withdrawn in next months edition where it was stated that the game would be shown on 2011's E3 and that the release date would be bumped back to 2012.
